After installing Vista Service Pack 1 I had to really look for improvements.  See, i never had any problems with Vista anyways.  But, from what I've read and heard, some people with certain configurations have noticed drastic improvements and that's great news! I remember upgrading to Service Pack 2 inWindows XP and I remember removing it a few days later.  I'm glad I had the option because it caused some problems for me when it first came out.  Later when I reinstalled it after they made some adjustments it worked just fine.  So, when upgrading to Vista Service Pack 1, I was a little nervous.  However, much to my delight the installation went seemless and I haven't had one single hiccup since. 

The problem is, that there was lots of "stuff" left on my hard drive.  It was for good reason though. If i had wanted to remove Vista Service Pack 1, I needed this "stuff" because it was left over from the old version of Vista.  However, I'm more than ready to commit to Service Pack 1 and would love to get rid of the old junk.  Well, Microsoft already thought of that!  With the Service Pack 1 update, they gave us a handy tool unofficially called "Vista Service Pack 1 File Removal Tool - Vsp1cln.exe".

It's extremely easy to run, but keep in mind once it's run there's no going back to "old" Vista!  To run it, simply open a command prompt (click the Windows button on your keyboard + r, a handy shortcut that is listed in our Windows Vista Shortcuts )  and type Vsp1cln.exe.  Confirm by typing "Y" and watch your files disapear!
